So you handled it differently, good for you! That is great! Many obese people do not handle humiliation in front of strangers real well and have to vent it some way.  Whether she read it or it actually happened it's still awareness for me.  I probably fit in half a seat now, but, I will still not fly SWA after reading the post. In fact I'm also getting rid of my SWA credit card today.  Humiliating obese people in public is shameful.  Asking someone to purchase 2 tickets should be done more tactfully.
