Holiday Protein Potluck!!!!

Hi all!   We were going to have our protein potluck on the 27th but need to switch so Darcie can make it this month.    New Plan:   Nov 14th, Weds - Joyce -    Holiday Protein Potluck, Bring a dish and a recipe to Mtg. .... No time to whip something up?  No problem!  Just bring one of your favorite protein's......OR...something healthy to go with the proteins...i.e.  fruit, veggies, yummeeee sugar free dessert!  I'll bring the paper products and a crockpot full of Taco Soup (lots of protein and healthy low glycemic veggies in it!)    We'll have a motivational moment, do some serious chatting.....share some munchies....maybe even play a "Protein" Game!!!!   We expect all of our old timer buds, newbie buds, soon to be buds and regulars to show up for this super duper casual party!   We will NOT go to dinner after the meeting (I know, DUH!)......so will have the room longer for a lengthier visit!  Bring your cameras too!  It's time for some new pics on our support site!   EVERYONE is Welcome!!!!!   Chandler Hospital on Frye and Dobson 6 -7:30 pm  (this evening can extend to 8:30 if we're game!) Joyce, Dr. Maxwell mentioned there was a group for WLS that met every 1st or 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Chandler Hosp, do you belong to that support group because I would be interested in attending... Please let me know and send me the details if you can. Thanks, Candy

Pleeeez join us!!!!  ........Dr. Maxwell sends folks our direction all the time.  I used to help facilitate the support groups for Bridges St Luke's so she totally trusts me with her "kids" and sends them my direction all the time (when they live too far to attend  her groups). Note the next meeting is a  Holiday Protein Potluck!  It will be a GREAT place for you to introduce yourself! We always meet the 2nd Weds and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7:30 ;p.m.  then we usually hit a local Chandler restaurant for some educational ordering and some more bonding (aka as chatting!  LOL!) the hospital is on Frye and Dobon.  Enter from the East Main entrance by the E.R. take the elevator to the lower level and turn left to conference rooms 1 and 2. Joyce, I really love the "recipe" events that you East Siders have.  I am going to try to get there.  Don't get mad at me if I don't but I WILL try. I may know better as we get closer.  Earl won't come on a week night but to me, once a year is worth it, right? Thanks for all you do!! Dj

DJ, You know that you are welcome anytime and we would LOVE to have you join us!  ......BUT....we are defintiely  clear across the world from you.  Sooooooooooooo............if you can't make it then I promise I'll post the yummeeeeee recipes for you! Maybe we could pick a restaurant and a Friday or Saturday evening in Nov or early Dec when we can all meet for a Holiday celebration together.  I know oodles of folks had fun at athe Cheesecake Factory last year.  Maybe we could rope Nicole into planning another evening similar?????  Or YOU???? It was so much fun hanging with you and your handsome hubby!  You guys are a HOT HOT HOT pair!!!!  Wow!

Are pre-ops invited?  I'm brand new to this list.  I started "the process" at the begining of September and have finished jumping through all the hoops.   The insurance specialist at my surgeon's office said that she was sending in the paperwork for approval today.  So now the waiting game begins.  I am hopeful that it will be a VERY fast approval process because our insurance will be ending at the end of this month.  (This was not expected when I began the process.) Anyway, I'd like to meet others from around here (I'm in Gilbert). Thanks! Cassi

Cassi, We especially love our pre-ops!  We all fight over who gets to ANGEL them!  LOL!  Pleeeez join us and bring your support buds as well!  All are invited to the Chandler Support Group!  .......Doesn't  matter what stage, surgeon, type of surgery, or whether you like Diamond Backs or not!  You are welcome!
