Who's your Doc?

O.K. all you grads, newbies, pre-ops and friends. I'm compiling a directory of Primary Care Physicians who are "pro-weight loss surgery". If you had to drive your doc every step of the way then I dont' want his or her name! But, if your doc was supportive, wrote you a letter of recommendation (aka a letter of medical necessity) and was a stepping stone on your journey and NOT a road block then........he or she should be in this directory!!!! Hey! This is a really great idea to do! My sister and I both have Dr. Robert Rauscher. He helped my sister get approved for GBP and is now in the process of helping me. He is truly amazing. My PCP is Dr. Karla Birkholz. She wrote my letter of recommendation while I was there for something totally different. I just memtioned it to her and told her I needed a letter, not expecting to get right away but she pulled out her laptop and typed it right there for me. Here is the address and phone number. She fought for me through my journey and still is so supportive. She doesn't look down on you for being overweight as she admits she has weight to lose also. She is one of the best out there. I love her! She is currently starting her own practice again in May, so her contact info will change.
