Hello again, How quickly things can change huh? Sunday I was happy in the fact that I was going to be a Daddy in September and post-op in June. Monday morning saw me and my wife in the ER because my wife had excessive bleeding. Of course my wife and I were not only scared, but convinced that we were loosing our child. My lack of faith was very apparent that day, because I was wrong. The pregnancy is actually fine, at risk a little, but otherwise fine. My wife was experiencing a subchorionic hematoma. We were told that most likely this will resolve and the pregnancy will go full term, but nothing is certain. Marcie is on a week's bed rest to give the hematoma time to heal a bit. Thank GOD! The Dr. gave us an 80% chance of resolution which is good, but that also means a 20%chance of miscarriage. We are optimistic and things do seem to be on the mend. My surgery has been rescheduled for June 8th and is still on track as far as I know. Richard Immell

Thank you, My wife and I are remaining positive. She has improved even more, and the bleeding has all but stoped... I am hopeful this resolves completely and we can go back to just worrying about being parents Thank you Richard

Hi Richard, I hope everything works out ok for you two. You both have to think positive, keep that 80 percent close to your heart and things will work out. Doc http://www.myspace.com/az411

I'm with Doc, who wouldn't take 80% odds in the casino! More seriously, Having been through a couple miscarriages with my wife, we have felt that type of pain and worry first hand. Unfortunately, the worrying doesn't stop once the kids are born. (Then again I guess that's more of a human condition).

You are right... 80% is pretty good, and we're fighting for this... It will be alright!!!

Richard, I am so sorry to hear about your ordeal. That is certainly frightening. Please try and stay positive and focus on the 80%. Take good care of your wife and yourself

Richard Thoughts and prayers are with you and Marcie. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help ! Tell Marcie to try & get some good rest - she will have her hands full in just a few short weeks - afterall she will have 2 babies in the house. June 8th is right around the corner, How long are you two going to need to stay in the area after Surgery ?

Marcie is really doing a good job at getting rest! I feel bad for her because just laying around is not her thing. She wants this baby bad enough though, that she has done exactly what the doctor has ordered... NOTHING! Of course I enforce the Dr's law as does our family. She is a trooper, and that's good because she will have her hads full soon enough. We will be in Scottsdale from June 7th till the 13th, as long as everything goes smoothly. We might stay an extra day or two, although it is going to be awefully HOT that time of year! Plus with hotel costs and such, we will probably save the money we would spend on a few extra days and spend it on a short vacation after I'm feeling better and can get around more. Richard I
