Longivity Of The Band???

With my surgery getting closer, I have many family members asking lots of questions, which is great cause I am learning alot more. But one questions that has been asked of me is How Long Will This Band Last? 10-15years??? 20-30years?? And I have been unable to find the answer to this question. CAN ANYONE HELP? Thanks

Hi Candi, I was told it will last indefinately. That was one reason I choose lap-band. You may want to go to the Lap-Band Forum to ask the question and you'll get a more detailed response. Just go under Forum at the top of the page and you'll see Lap-Band. Good Luck

Candi, Dr. Simpson (man with many stories) told me once that he had visions of the future where explorers wandered the earth picking through the ancient rubble and there wouldn't be much there but little white plastic objects which we know of as the "Lap band"!!!! ....very long warranty! Joyce

I was told my Christine from Dr. Simpson office that the lap band can last forevey. She actually said 5,000 years....
