DIABETES WALK
Hi everyone its that time again. We can get out and get some great exercise for a great cause. Some people developed diabetes due to obesity and this awful disease is one of the many comorbidies that qualified us for WLS surgery. Some people once they lose the weight can use diet as a treatment and others still need to continue insulin or pills. Keep in mind once you have been diagnosed as a diabetic it is a diagnosis you keep for life. It can be a struggle to get insurance Life or health if they will allow you to purchase it at all. People with diabetes die at a very young age due to complications of the disease. Now that we have been fortunate enough to have our WLS or are in the process of getting approved, Lets get together as a group. individually and maybe even start a team to help fight this!!!!!!!!!! We need to do this for our children because more and more people including our children are being diagnosed annually. Here is some information on all the walks in AZ. I am actively volunteering on the east valley walk. Please feel free to email me any questions and I will find out the information for you. Just make sure you put WALK under the subject. You can also check out www.diabetes.org and put walk under search. Thank you so much for your support and hope to see everyone there Thank You
