** Update on me

I went to the doctor last Wednesday, and found I had strep throat. He put me on 5 days of strong anti-biotics. Im slowly healing.... still feeling very exhausted, my voice is coming back... It's still very hard to eat and drink--- but things are getting better. Thanks for those who posted their concern! Darlene 7 weeks -66lbs

Hi Darlene, I'm sorry about your sore throat. I took my son to the doc on Thursday afternoon, he had the same symtoms you just decribed. Sore throat, no voice and sleepy all the time. We were told he had strep..they did a culture and called me this morning. The test said that he didn't have strep after all..it was a viral infection..we were told to stop the meds...BTW he has only 1 of those pills left anyway. He's feeling lots better..how you will be too! HugsGinger

Hi Darlene Just remember that it may take longer for the antibiotics to work, now that you have had bypass surgery. We don't obsorb things as well. You mihgt need them a week longer than regular folks. Call him when you are done with them & if not 100% better take them for another week. Good Luck & glad your weight loss is doing so well, Too!! Make sure you are not crushing those antibiotic pills that will take any potency away from them. if YOu have a problem with pills have your doc change to liquid form. Marilyn, the Bearlady
