Hi Marita, I haven't had this problem but I am wondering if you may have a hiatus hernia. I had a repair for one when I had my VSG surgery. I think you should contact your Doc. you may need some investigations. Good luck. BTW a few of us in Sydney have started a local online support group feel free to check in if you like. URL:

Topic: Reflux issues?
Hi.
I had lap band surgery 4 years ago and only recently have had some issues wtih regurgitation waking me up several times throughout the night. I have tried not eating or drinking 3-4hrs before i go to bed and still it happens. I have limited certain foods from my diet which can cause some aggravation and have increased the height of my pillows and do not lie down for severals hours after i have eaten with no luck. Has anyone else suffered this problem at all? Thanks

Topic: Support group meeting for August.
Next meeting of the Australian Weight loss support group will be
Tuesday 29th August (not the 22nd as previously stated).
The meeting will be held in Kogarah at the hospital Research and
Education building, corner of South Street and Belgrave street. All
are welcome to attend from 7pm, meeting to commence at 7.30. This
month's topic is life after surgery and we hope to have Dr. Michael
Talbot as guest speaker.

Topic: OT- Aussies, I need your help.
Hi there! My sister lives in Bunbury, WA and she is looking for places to shop for a dress for her daughter's wedding at the end of the month. She is having a very hard time finding stores for larger sized people and really just does not know where to look. She is looking for something in the range of a size 24-26. Could you suggest any places that would have larger sizes, dressy kind of dresses? Any help I would greatly appreciate. She tells me Perthe is about 2 hrs. away but she does not know where to shop, so any store names would be helpful.

Hi all just to let you know that Lynne and I are starting a support group in Sydney (Kogarah). First meeting next Tuesday night 25th July at Premier Street Community Centre, Premier Street Kogarah, New South Wales. We would love it for any of you who could make it to come. (I will ring you on Monday Helen Maree) It starts at 7pm and goes to 9pm. We are hoping to make this a monthly event. Please let Lynne or myself know if you would like to come or even if you want any info.

Topic: Lap-Band pain!
my problem is when i have more saline put in the lap-band, i am comfortable at 4ml but am not losing weight, but whenever the doctor puts any more than that in i have niggling pain all day in my stomach, like a cold ach and the pain goes under my left rib too. I would like to know if anybody else has experenced the same problem, and how they got it treated.
