Pain !

Hey . I just had my opp last thursday (25/10) and im still in alot of pain. i still cannot breath properly, getting sharp pains in my chest and cant get up by myself because the pain is so bad. i had my opperation pretty early in the morning on thursday so iv been recovering for 4 days.. and have been taking a heap of pain killers all the time and they dont seem to be helping. have any of you guys felt as much pain as this almost a week after ??

Hi Sinead hope you are getting your paid under control, which operation did you have and where did you have it done. I would call the doctor and find out what pills will help tramal drops are strong but sometimes ineffective, what about a suppository like indocid? hope this helps Donna

Hi mark, I really do feel for you. I had my bpd nearly 10yrs ago, and I had alot of pain as well. Oh...Congratulations! Your new life is about to start!I stayed in hospital for about 8 days, so dont be so concerned, as the pain will ease,day by day. Mark, if it makes you feel any better....I was 163kg when I had my life change for me. i got very sick about 3yrs ago with a bad bug, that nearly killed me. I was back in hospital for the 3rd time in 10yrs, for a long 3months stay. I was told that if I got that thin, that it was not funny...38kg! I was shocked when I sore the scales.I could barely walk. So, after my long battle...in hospital, I was back at home,still with some fluid in my legs. Well, I can proudly say that, I have kept out of hospital now for nearly 3yrs, and at a healthy weight of 60kg! Just, remember to get those multivitamins like vitaBdeck! I take 2 daily, and supplement drinks as well, and a low fat diet....for life! I wish you all the best for the op. I know, you are gonna, love the new you! good luck for the future, and I sympathize your pain with you...but u are over the worst of it ! Keep your chin up...and stand proud!
