There used to be many others. One was banned from OH entirely and the rest were probably driven away by others, who were not like us, who insisted on butting in on our conversations and spreading their messages. Trust me, we cannot get away that the way they did. It is unbelievable really. I just check in here every now and then and now just frequent some Yahoo groups with more restrictions on who can be a member and are seriously more uncensored. This type of group will never fly on this site. We tried but were out numbered. There are too many other cool sites on the web to have to resort to this one. You can't say anything anyways. Sorry

Hi, Actually, you're right. We do talk amongst ourselves. This site isn't very friendly for those of us who don't believe. One of our former members hosts a forum here http://www.iamunrecognizable.com/forum/toast.asp I go there a lot. I think we're quiet because we don't need to recruit and maintain our members. Believers need constant reassurance for their beliefs. Athiests don't give a rat's rear. LOL Barb

Hi Barb, My name is Sherry and I'm a lifelong (42) atheist and freethinker. Frankly, I was kind of surprised - okay, REAL surprised - to even see this topic listed on the website. My husband, son, and I live in the definitely-NOT-atheist-friendly state of Missouri. This is a lonely and hostile place for heathens like us, trust me! Our only relief is belonging to a freethinker's group in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We don't get down there as often as we'd like, but when we do it's like being let out of an ideological prison cell. I'm on this website in the first place because I'm a bariatric post-op, about 5 months out. I had a procedure called the Mini Gastric Bypass, which is listed on these forums - so check it out if you're curious. I had an excellent experience (no complications or anything) and I've lost almost 70 pounds to date. It's hard to explain just how much my health and life have improved. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Instead of feeling surgically altered, I actually feel as though I've been repaired - and that my system NOW works the way it always should have. Well, that's about it from me. If anyone wants to converse, please give me a shout! I'd love to dialogue with another atheist/agnostic. Thanks, Sherry
