Oh yah, can hardly believe how fast the time is just flying by!
I'm still working on getting my tests and psych eval completed and closing out a project at work, so no time for worries - isn't that awesome? :)

Topic: RE: Black Cherry for gout and general foot osteoarthritis
Hi Kathyellen, I originally got mine at the GNC store. I got my last bottles on line from Amazon.com. The company is NOW - Black Cherry Fruit Extract 750 mg. I think when I'm done with these though I'll go back to the GNC product. I think (and it could be in my mind) they work better. One or two doses of the liquid concentrate would have a much quicker affect but the concentrate has 20g of sugars per dose (probably from the fruit a I believe that's all it is). With RNY I'd be cautious of that because of dumping. Good luck. It does work but with only the caps it may take a little longer to get into his system. This really saved me. I was in so much pain and it took care of it. Best wishes for him. Elena

There's my voice of reason just when I need her most! You always come thru and save my sanity. I can't believe your weight loss. I think you were at around 90 lbs lost when I first met you. I can't wait to see you if you can make it. I will go to the SF meeting. I'll also be at SJ.
I'm glad to hear this is normal. I guess I had all of these expectations right after surgery and thought I skated thru. No hormone dumping, no exhaustion, nothing. Then BAM. Three months out, new problems came up. I am evil now! I am tired and having weird pains. This too shall pass. Thanks for the reality check!!!!
Cheers,
Cathy

You are so right Tammy. I think I am going thru weird things right now. I just expected them more at the beginning and not later. I'll just take the next right step, be grateful I have insurance and so many great doctors in the area, and that I am on the right track. Will you be going to SF and SJ meetings this month? I'm so excited for you Tammy!

Using NSAIDS was the least of my worries when I signed on for this surgery. Little did I know how important it could end up being. I think I am over the freak out right now. I'll just deal with this as it comes as well. Thank you for responding!!

At the stage you are at, I was exhausted, too. I would go out to dinner with my family and on the car ride from home to the restaurant, at dinner time - not 9 or 10 at night - I would be too tired to get out of the car. I had to nap in the car while they ate dinner.
Plus I had a ton of hormone fluctuations the gave me odd symptoms that could freak me out, too. Lumps and bumps here, there and everywhere. Some turned out to be normal bones or glands or nodes that were perfectly normal but never felt before under my fat. Others were areas of fat that just melted of at a different rate, who knows why!
Keep taking your vites (glad you labs are good.) Ask your docs for some RA specialists so you can start to find one you like if need be.
Stop worrying about being cursed! There will be plenty of time to worry if something bad does happen. Try not to borrow trouble from tomorrow when your job is to live life to the fullest today.
You already found your hubby a healthier wife than he found for himself, silly girl, you post ds!
I'd say I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is something very mild and temporary and nothing like RA that is causing your current issues - but you know I don't believe in that hocus pocus stuff. So, I'll just say I'm hoping for the best for you.
Any chance you can make it to San Fran for the Wed 5/12 support meeting with "VitaLady"? I have to work that day but am hoping to be able to sneak out early and make it to St Marys. I'd love to see you.

Topic: RE: factors leading to osteoarthritis
Yes indeed and in fact it's not just arthritis. Weight gain or obesity can also lead to cancer and diabetes. In fact people should be cautious about it because once you have diabetes it could be hard to select options on loosing weight.
Health is important!
