I have been going to a work out where there is jogging, running, and lots of different jumping type excercises. I fear that this my damage my back more than it already is. Also what sort of things to you do to help with the pain. I have always had a painful back, and was told it was due to my very large breasts and bad posture. But with in the last year or so driving any distance over an hour is very painful for me and I have to shift in my seat as much as possible. Which since I have to drive 2 hours just to go grocery shopping, I have been having more pain. Also thing like folding laundry has always been really hard on me, but recently I really don't like doing it and more than not it just gets left in the baskets and my family has to rumage through them to find what they are looking for. Any way just wanted a bit of info if any one has any. Thank you very much for you time.

I'm recently diagnosed with RA after an awful flare that hospitalized me right after my DS. I take Curcumin (needs to have piperine in too to work) and Coramega. It makes a noticeable difference and I have NO other flares close to the first one after nine months and my pain is under control without Motrin.
I knew the Curcumin worked, but I just learned WHY it works.
Interleukin-1 (IL1) is essential for systemic inflammatory bone loss

I use Splender all the time. Everyday I drink my sweet tea with Splender for my sweetner.
I have oster. and have not had any affects. I know if I didn't take some type of anti-inflamatory med. I might hurt worse. Try takeing some Aleve is nothing else....they help too.
I have kepy my 130 lbs off for over three years and splender has not hurt me at all.
Likewise, Vicodin (also called Lortabs) contain hydrocodone and acetaminophen (no NSAIDs) so this pain med should also be acceptable for RNY patients. Of course, it's always up to the physician.
By the way, the use of oxycodone in Percoset/Percodan does not have the same addictive properties of Oxy-Contin. The oxycodone in Oxy-Contin is formulated as a time-release drug. It is the breaking up of Oxy-Contin that becomes problematically addictive because users want the high and will crush the pills for a more immediate effect.
If medicines are used judiciously, and as appropriately prescribed for the condition at hand, addiction is not usually going to occur.
I take Vicodin, up to three times daily, as needed for severe back pain, and at the lowest dose 5mg hydrocodone/500 mg acetaminophen, and have experienced no tolerance at all. I also don't use it excessively with the intent of getting high.
Hi I'm a newbie,
I have RA also and I was taking 6 Methotrexates and my hair thinned and lost it's luster for a minute but the Folic Acid really helped it. Also I see the veterans of wls talk about biotin due to the hair loss from surgery. Maybe try that?
I am really not a fan of Metho. but I had stopped taking it for a while and my xrays showed damage to the joints in my feet. Now my dr. dropped me down to 4 tablets and I get Rituxan infusions every 4 months. They really helped!! The first time I was like a new puppy for about two weeks!! The fatigue left, much less joint pain I actually felt like a regular person. It only lasted a short time though. I've had the first half of my second treatment and I feel a slight improvement. I think the cold weather makes a difference too.
My rheumy told me that she would do whatever she can to help me with the wls. She didn't know about the sleeve and when I took her my info. she agreed on the spot.
