Bad knees and Hep C!

I also have really bad knees and desparately want to have WL surgery, but I also have Hepatitis C.   Does anyone know of anyone else on this site that has Hep C, and what forum should I use to ask about that?  Thanks for anybody that can help!

Hep C will not prevent you from having WLS. If you ever do need a liver transplant (God forbid) it would be much better for the weight to be off.

Thanks for the info, Faye.  I didn't think it should, but I went to one doctor in my area and he said "any surgeon would be crazy to touch you"!  I was very upset because I had never been told that before.  I have an appt this friday with a different doctor, so I'll see what he has to say.  I have my fingers crossed.

Yeah...that's BS???!!!.don't let anyone intimidate you..you have every right to happiness as the next guy..Hep c is more an more common these days..its not the plague! And a lot of medical professionals have it...
You gotta get in there and fight for your rights..or sue the *******s

I am glad to hear what you had to say I to have hep C and I am looking into WLS.  Did they check your heart too?  I am waiting to hear if what Kasier has to say about the Hep C.
