Is Arthritis A Co-Morbidity?

Leone, yes.  I had a low bmi but due to my comorbids.... aka arthritis... was approved for WLS. Was injured in Desert Storm and my lower back to the ball and socket joints hurt something fierce...  arthritis now. Now that the weight is coming off, it's not 'so' painful. I ALSO GOT APPROVED FOR ARTHRITIS AND A FEW MORE THINGS BUT I THINK THE ARTHRITIS AND SLEEP APNEA WAS WHAT DID IT I HAD THE LAP BAND DONE. I AM TO AFRAID OF THE OTHERS.

AND ALSO I GO TO A PAIN CLINIC AND TAKE 5 NARCOTICS I ALSO HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND MY ARTHRITIS IS IN BOTH KNEES ONE REPLACED AND THE OTHER ONE NEEDS IT AND MY WHOLE SPINE HAS IT PLUS OTHER PLACES.

Hi - This is Leone thanking you all for the replies. I'm learning, but there is so much to take in!  I'm not too crazy about the lap band - all the follow ups and fills seems like a never ending process. That's not to say it isn't good, it just doesn't seem like what I would want. I do like the VSG idea - it doesn't mess with the intestines. But the closest surgeon that does that is four hours away.
