Cortosone shots and insomnia?

Hi everyone this is my first poston this forum here and i am wondering has anyone had a cortosone shot? I have Osteoarthritis in both knees and I recieved a shot last week and I cannot SLEEP! I had 4 hours a sleep and I am WIDE awoke! The advice nurse told me to send an email to my Orthopedic Dr because I may been supersensitive

to cortosone. Thanks in advance

Hi, Carol, I used to take quite a lot of cortisone for Asthma and it made me jittery and sleepless....I think they are pretty common side effects. Usually after the drug clears your system, you are able to rest again.... Kelly

How long does the cortisone shot usually last?? I can't seem to take NSAIDs because they cause my stomach to bleed. Does it really provide any real relief?
