Topic: RE: Loosing too much...?
I know you are worried and rightfully so. I am also 5'1" (actually 5'2" since the weight loss) and got down to 116 lbs and although I thought at the time it was awesome, looking back I looked sick.
I did gain some and remained at 125 lbs for quite some time, since March of this year I've put on 12 lbs and the past two weeks I'm having to work REALLY HARD to get it off.
Ensure is high sugar and may cause you to dump (if you dump). Can you give an idea of what you eat, how often, how much? Maybe others can make suggestions on eating that will allow you to gain a little weight.

Topic: RE: Anyone 3+ yrs post op? I want to hear about any complications
4 1/2 years post-op NO complications, not one. I have seen my labs drop some and have tweaked my vitamin regimen to hopefully prevent deficiencies.
Hope this helps, it's very wise of you to research and understand that complications can happen, some preventative (deficiencies) others not so much.
Good luck on your journey.

Topic: RE: A Real Mess 3 Years Out
Unfortunately, so have I. My friend who had it done in Hazleton about 4 years ago has undergone 4 surgeries in Boston to try to correct some of the problems.
Topic: Anyone 3+ yrs post op? I want to hear about any complications
I am a newbie and would like to hear about the complications that sometimes occur, especially in the third year post op and later...
Any insight/personal stories?
Thanks! :)

My point is that my insurace did cover the surgery, and they don't do that if they think it will bring harm.

My Mom was approved on Tricare. Keep trying( no pun intended) She used a program that was a center of excellence , that might be the difference. Ask them for a copy of the medical policy to see what they might be dening you for. If Medicare will cover it Tricare should to. Most are managed by Blue Cross Assoc.
Topic: RE: ~Dallas~comments on Dr Barker, Davidson,Alexander
Well, obviously I can only give you one comment. I say Dr. Davidson is a genious, however, DON'T EXPECT A NICE WARM, FRIENDLY, COZY DOCTOR. His side-table manners leave much to be desired. He seems cold, indiferent, but he is very smart, very capable. I've heard the man is a genious. I bet it is true too. I had complications in the beginning, but he fixed me.

Topic: Loosing too much...?
I know... nice problem to have, right?? NOT! People around me tell me that I need to gain about 5-8 pounds. I am 5"1' and weigh 106. The tables say I should be around 100-130 pounds, but being 46 years old I understand I don't/shouldn't weigh 100 pounds (though in my head, that would be awsome). I have some extra skin (not too much, but it's there). I don't wanna look emaciated either. I had my surgery in August 2006. So, last week I ate like a maniac, a little bit at a time so not to mess up my pouch. I waited anxiously to weigh myself again today and alas... I am 106. What a joke, huh? So, anybody having the same prob? Would Ensure help me?
