Thanks everybody, I had my surgery on 7/27 and today is my one week aniversary, I am doing OK, a bit afraid of the long term, I bit afraid of the future, but with a lot of hope, I have seen how many people have been transformed in this pages, but I so lack self-dicipline than I do not trust myself much. Hi Doriam! I just had my band placed 3 days ago. I'm still in some pain, but can tell you, even now, I have no regrets! I was sooooo scared a few days before. I am so happy to hear from someone who feels the way I do. Everybody was supportive before the surgery but after words thing went really bad with the xhubby. Now I have found out he has had a girlfriend who is big and the smaller I got the more he saw her. Now they live together and they are in love and going to get married. I told her she better not lose weight if she wants to keep him. I wanted to lose weight so we would have a better life together. Funny how things work out. I would not change the fact I had the surgery for anything. I am very happy with the results from the surgery. And now I have a better life with my daughter. I am really glad I had surgery but I was very surprised at how unsupportive my adult children and my husband were. I fought with my husband in hospital. The fight was so bad my adult son had to remove him. Then my daughter (excuse the phrase) started tripping. The plan was I stay at her house first 2 weeks. She acted as if I had had plastic surgery. Luckily by the grace of God my best friend from Texas came and put my daughter in check but my husband went and bought me a guilt ring. I am glad I had the surgery but I didn't think my family would react the way they did. In my dreams I just want to lose weight and run away. I can now see now why the divorce rate is so high.

The only regret I have is that I wished I had done this when I was 258 pounds instead of 358 pounds! I am now down to 245 and I wish that my slowdown didn't happen until I was below 200, but it's ok.
