2 questions: 1) you hate your new body? I can understand hating the impact of the WLS on your system, but isn't your body at least looking better on the outside? 2) Would your complications have been different with a different form of WLS?

Here Here! Although at 47 I am looking at the DS. if I was only 20 I'd definitely go for a restriction only procedure. You can always convert that VSG to a DS in the future if you find you need more help.

Hi -Shade' = I am 27 months out and while I am looking into a revision - do not regret getting RNY - I am having B12, constipation issues and iron issues but I had those prior to surgery -Jo

Hi Lily, what you are experiencing mentally is 100% normal. Please know that in a few weeks you will be passed this stage and onto the joy of the weight loss. I think it is important for you to #1 talk to a counselor who specializes in Bariatric surgery and also go to a local group with others who know how you feel. I am sorry about your complications that sure is scary. As far as your family being far away, consider yourself lucky (heeee).

Hi, Thanks for the reply. i posted this question several months ago and have since had the sleeve done. i am sorry to hear your situation and I hope it improves. I wonder what size bougie was used? My Doc used a 34 and I have lost 130 pounds in 7 months but am currently in a stall as well. I am going to start using fitday and honestly put down exactly everything I swallow to see if I can beat the stall and lose the last 30 pounds to reach goal. Good Luck..............Marc
