Lap RNY Reversal?
Chris:
I live in Santa Cruz and attend Stanford. Dr. John Morton is a premier expert in bariatrics and is Blue Shield's advisor. Make an appointment and talk with him. He has an expert staff.
I had my surgery done in San Bernardino, Dr. Douglas Krahn. While in his waiting room, I met several reversals and repair patients who were crazy about him and he saved their lives. You can boot up his in of on my profile.
Below is Stanfords webpage. Or email Dr. Morton [email protected]
He is very gracious and will email back. Give him a few days. Tell him Barb sent you.

Chris,
I had an open reversal, but only because all of my surgeries were open and I had many complications. I am sure it can be done, my dr does most everything lap. Email me if you wish more info. After reversal I was able to eat very normal and the recovery was much shorter than after any other surgery. I did have problems though 2 months out related to all of the prior surgeries.(see profile) Hope this helps a bit. Cindi
The RNY is reversable, but you might have a hard time finding a surgeon who is willing to operate since you are only a few months out. I'm sorry that you are having a lot of medical problems, I hope that it all works out for you.
You might want to contact the Rabkins (i think thats how their name is spelled) They do a lot of revisions from the RNY to DS...they might be able to do a full reversal if that is what you are looking for.
It's important to find the BEST surgeon possible to do that kind of operation, because it will be technically very difficult.
GBU and I hope that these troubles come to an end for you.
