Let me keep it real
OH PULEEZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!@#$
That may be your story...you stick to it hun. I dont know who you think you are trying to convince...but it defintly aint me or my friends on the Alabama board. I think personally if you had read more carefully you will have found that I, as most as well as others have, that EXERCISE is one item of this whole issue that is spoken over and over again. It is only foolsih to beleive that WLS is an easy way out of being large. Havent you ever heard the say that "YOU DONT GET JUST ANYTHING FOR FREE??" You dont get something for nothing Lady A...dont care who you are or what you are. YOu have to work to get what you want outof anything in life. You are not gonna get anything accomplsihed bellyaching about something you "CLAIMED" was never there to start with.
And as for Keri...she was not speaking of YOUR issuses...its the ISSUEs you bring up personally whether there yours or not. AND...yes it does take some common sense to understand this whole issues at hand. That is why there are suppport groups for people. THey get together and talk....learn...cooperate..help each other understand!!!!! Get into a support group or something.
BullDog Lady {__|__} those pounds a lil bit at a time.
Thanks for your response.
This is very typical for me to get so much Anger Feedback because I refuse to keep my mouth closed.
People do not know my whole story, but I feel that everything we do is affected by the choices we make in life good or bad. If you read my profile you will see that I document everything and I get hundreds of emails daily from people thanking me for being honest.
When I post a controversial post such as this one, just as many negative responses I get on here, I get ten times as many private responses from people thanking me for speaking out because they do not have the heart to do it and they thank me because they were near loosing it because they felt they were the only ones feeling this way.
I speak how I feel Adrienne, nobody else. I still support people, I sign hundreds of surgery pages daily.
I have my own online support group and a Non Profit Organization called Obese No More, who has helped with the payment of doctors visits and medication needed after surgery.
I send out protein suppliments and vitamins and clothes to people all over the US.
I have had 3 different fundraisers and all of the money has been donated to people who have weight issues, and needs.
I have referred 10 people to my surgeon 8 of which have had surgery.
So you see, I am not against the surgery or against supporting people who want the surgery, I just speak of my OWN experiences and how I feel that this was not right for ME, ADRIENNE.
Adrienne
I would not even begin to tell you how you should feel. It took courage to come out and share your feelings with others, in my opinion, which you may or may not want, but I'm gonna give it to you any way. As I read your post, I noticed what might be mis-construed as a conflict of interest. If you don't want anybody to tell you how you should feel, ya can't then turn around and say how you think you can know what thier motivation (feeling) was for having surgery in the first place. I would never call you or any one else in here a lier nor question as to why they were having the surgery, nor could I pass judgement down on still others because I don't think you have a problem for trying to correct one, if you view it as having a problem. May I say you feel the way you feel, because that's the way you feel, period. As a fellow human being however,I sincerly hope you shall feel happiness if you so wish to, not because I'm telling you to feel that way, only because speaking for myself, I feel better when I am happy. Ya feel me?
hi adrienne, i'm not here to attack you, but didn't your dr tell you before your surgery that exercise was a big part of this thing? because mine made it very clear. i personally hate to exercise, but i feel like after i have the surgery and get some of the weight off i will want to exercise in order to not have they flab hanging around and to firm up.i lost one time 110 pounds and actually became addicted to exercise once i got started, but then i inherited 2 grandbaies 1 and 2 years old so i no longer hve time for exercise.well acually having 2 babies to chase around is pretty nuch exercise . but i can't believe your surgeon didn't tell you. hang in the girl brenda
It really was not stressed as it is being stressed now.
I have no clue why the other posters think I am lying, I never thought this was the easy way out by a long shot, however I know me and I know that I have always hated exercise and I would have never had this surgery had it been stressed to me that EXERCISE was essential.
However although I am not exactly pleased with my results I have gone from a 32 to a loose 18 and a tight 16. So although, mentally i am not pleased, I still have loss.
Adrienne
Lady A,
you should realize what a awesome thing you have already done! You went from a 32 to a 16!! That is awesome! That is an average woman of today...a real woman not a model. You might not have lost the pounds that you expected but you lost inches to be able to wear such different sizes. Everyone is different and the wierd thing about this surgery is that it affects us all in different ways. I think if you just concentrated on what YOU have already done, maybe you might be more pleased with the results. YOU are an individual and YOU have lost a lot of weight. Stop comparing yourself to other peoples accounts of lost weight. You done good!
