Can't stop losing weight and getting alittle scared here!
Surgery date: April 24, 2003. My main question before I had gastric bypass was "how does your body know when to stop losing weight?" Everybody said don't worry your body knows when to stop losing weight. I weighted 229, not exactly 100 lbs over weight but I have only one kidney that was starting to not work so good and high blood pressure. My Dr. suggested the surgery , my Kidney Dr. said it was a good idea, I went to a support meeting and the informational. I thought I got all the information I needed to make this decision. I have never vomited once since the surgery, I take my vitamins, I can eat just about anything I did before the surgery of course not as much. I get nausiated after I eat anything and usually have to lay down for a little while. I have bouts with palpitations, though after having a monitor on for 24 hrs the Dr. says everything is fine. My weight now is 119. I have gone back to my primary care provder and now they are doing more blood work. I am getting alittle scared and was wondering if anybody else has had a scare like tihs and what they did to remedy the problem.
i am having the same problem, but my ibs is making it even harder to absorb my food, seems like i eat more now than i did but it moves through my system too fast. i now weight 125 from 280lbs and look like bones and excess skin, if i get the skin removed i will weigh nothing, i wear a size 6 and i never wanted to be below a 12 the doctors are not concerned but it is really scaring me
