Honey, I'm so very sorry for your loss, and THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your story!  People need to know that these awful things can happen, and you are ABSOLUTELY entitled to give your opinion about WLS, even to the point of suggesting that people should avoid it.  NOBODY has a right to  tell you to feel differently, given what you've been through. It's true that in the majority of cases, WLS can be a life-saver, but if it goes wrong, the patient can be a whole lot worse off than being obese.  People need to be aware of this, and factor it into their decisions.  (I chose to have VSG knowing the risks, and blessedly it went well.  But if it had gone badly at least I went into it with my eyes open.)   And I'm so very sorry that some folks here couldn't respect your feelings and your right to your opinions, and had to lash out.  Be assured it had nothing to do with you or what you said.  The negativity and anger is entirely on their part, and it says everything about them, and nothing about you.  My prayers are with you and with your family!

First off, I am so sorry for your loss.  It is truly painful when you lose someone close to you. Especially a mother.

Second off to everyone else on this page who is freaking out and upset that she is sounding like an alarmist.  It is her way of grieving, so if you don't like it, let it be and don't post anything.  I don't understand why people like to attack in this manner to someone who just lost somebody in their life!  Sometimes people don't know how to respond in a healthy or respectful manner.  I think sometimes when people are trying to be helpful they don't get things out in a correct matter.

If you want details read her profile or email her like she asked, don't get mad.  Just pray for her and her family!

God Bless you inhonorofmarywright!  Keep doing what your doing and just hold your head up,

So., so, so sorry for your loss. That picture on here of you and your mom is beautiful. Your mom was a beautiful person and your both will be prayed for, your mom in haven and you too and the rest of the family. So sorry in your mom's quest for better health, she lost the battle and left you behind and maybe others. I will keep her in my heart.
