Hi, I'm new to this site

My name is Jill, and I'm on the waiting list for RNY surgery here at Womack on Ft. Bragg. At my support group meeting last night, I was told about this site. I'm unsure how long of a wait I have because I'm being deferred out to the network in January. Then I will decide if I want to have it done in fayetteville (shorter wait) or wait the approximate 13 months to have it done here at Bragg. During my wait, I'm just looking for support and as much info as I can find for this surgery. I look forward to getting to know everyone. Anyone else here at Bragg?

Hi Kim- I had Dr. Vaughn....he was great...made me feel great about myself which he still does...He did my surgery for me just recently on March 20th of this year. No regrets as of yet ...very proud! Hello Jill, I'm Donna and I'm 7 mos post RNY. I have found this be a wonderful and supportive site. I agree with my friend Ann Greer-Faison that this is the forum to post in. If there is anyone in your region who is familiar with obesityhelp.com I'm sure they check this site. I too, am here, just e mail or post your questions or concerns. Jill, Hey and welcome! You will really love this site. Apparently you have Tricare. If they are deferring you to the network, then take advantage of it and go see Dr. Leo Davidson at Village Surgical in Fayetteville! He did my surgery last Tuesday, 120903 and he is wonderful, the best! He does not have a long wait at all. Alisha
