It was also being used in liquid dental cleaner( the kind that you add to thier water) and some pet toothpaste. Very scary!

Topic: RE: cat needs a shave
One of my specialties in my pet salon is cats. I do several a day. I alway try to avoid shaving when human, but not always the case. Sometimes I use an attachment comb and then hand scissor them to leave coat so they are more like a short coat rather than bald. I hate to say it, but I even have my share of matted rag dolls. The will mat, even short haired cats can matt and it can be related to diet, health and proper maintainence.
A good cat groomer, knows that you don;t need to shave them bald with a #10 or shorted blade. They will try to use a #7 or longer. They will not go for a shave rigth off thetop to save time. They will never work alone as this can lead to injury to the cat or groomer if the animal is scared. I would not recommend any untrined pet owner try it at home as cats require a much different skill than dogs and have paper thin skin that cuts easily and then opens up. Also they should know how to monitor their vitals as cats can be scared enough to cause big problems even death. They should know cat CPR and first Aid..

Cindy said the most important stuff. Lots of health considerations. It is the rule not the exception with frenchies, but man are the freakin cute! I love to hold them up to my ear and listen to them grunt.

My weight forced me to sell my QH, Cimmeron Crocker, years ago and although I dont know if I'll ever have the means to keep a horse again at home, I am glad to be able to ride again and maybe I'll lease. When I did board I missed the bonding from everyday care.

I love the avatar! What an Arab head set. Gorgeous. Looks like a drawing of "this is how an Arab head should be"

The insanity. You have to be so super depraved to hurt anything innocent and defensless like a child or animal. Hope he is coming along well.

Topic: RE: Any APBT, AMSTAFF lover out there??
Just a little note.. the American Pit Bull Terrier is actually a totally different breed than the American Bulldog. Both are great though. My husband breeds APBT's. We have some real cuties! But do you have an Amer. Bulldog?

Topic: RE: love Poodles but...
I know this is an old post and you may have a dog already( sorry about your poodle). I am a groomer/trainer and have a pet boutique. I have a white Standard, Joey. I know what you mean abut all the grooming. If I didn;t have a pet salon I'd even think twice about another poodle, lol. But a havanese is another dog in need of frequent(4-6 weeks) grooming to be kept healthy. The Bichon Frise is one of the 3 bichon  types, there is the Bichon Havanese, and BIchon Bolognese. All three are what are called continuous growth coats and need regular grooming. A much lower maintainece, absolutely adorable, very sweet and cute dog I would suggest is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, called cav's or CKC's. I would definately recommend any pet you consider you go to a professional breeder, never a pet store, back yard breeder or novice breeder, Breeding is not as easy as just letting two papered dogs mate. There are so many factors to make a good breeding and only a pro knows what to look for in their respective breed. Look for someone that only breeds one type, that has a contract and dosn;t just sell to anyone with the money.

Also, the Japanese Chin is a really cute little dog with a great disposition. They are also much lower maintainence. Best of luck!

" Even if it there was a stump, someone had to hold my saddle so it wouldn't slip"

I can so relate!!!  I haven't had the surgery yet, but I know it will sure help me once I do.  I raise and show Arabians, NSH, and Pintos.  Love my horses and hate not being as mobile as I used to be.

Would love to talk horses with horsey people who have the same goals I do!
