Any Corgis?
Wow, I'd love a Cardigan and I've never seen a Pembroke with a tail! Our Pembroke is seven years old. We've only had him a year and he's just finished his heartworm treatment. We were told he had been on Heartgard but he was positive when we took him to the vet. He's an excellent dog, very well trained.
I love all dogs but I've always wanted a corgi and he won't be my last. I'm looking for a Cardigan but I don't know how he'd react, guess it would have to be a female so he can stay the alpha! Did you get your corgis from a LA breeder?
Always great talking to a fellow dog lover!
I got my Pembroke from a breeder in Westwego,LA. (a small town across the Mississippi Rivert from New Orleans. She was supposed to go to a family member of the breeder who didn't want her tail cut. That person decided they didn't want her-lucky me. she's beautiful and her tail is long and bushy like a fox. She is an alpha-most female corgis are. My Cardigan I found through the AKC website. The breeder was in Pineville,LA (near Alexandria). He is the only one in LA. who breeds Cardigan puppies to sell. And he only breeds them every 2 years. He only had 3 puppies in this litter that lived and he kept one. I was on a waiting list and 3 others before me backed out, that's how I got him.
I've also wanted corgis for a long time, but they are hard to find. If you don't mind getting an older dog, they have rescued corgis available sometimes. Try the corgi websites. Good luck.
