Training my own service dog

Is there any one out there that has gone through this process or is training a dog now. I would like to be able to keep in touch with someone with a service dog or training one. this is a tough process and Mo Jo my chocolate lab is stubborn some times, other times he does it all by himself. We went to wallmart and he was wonderful, at home working different story
