She's what I live for
My precious baby girl Bella (my rat) is my soul. I swear, I would die for her.
I didn't plane on getting a rat. It just happened.
My boyfriend and I went to the petstore and saw this blue cage with a little rat in it.
I thought she was so cute!
I looked and saw how horrible of a condition she was in. The bedding was pine shreddings (it can cause an upper respitory infection in rodents) she had hamster food in her dish and one toy.
I told my boyfriend I wanted her and she came with me.
It's been 9 months and she is SPOILED! This little girl eats chicken, potatos, ice cream and MANY more.
She is over 1lb and just loves me. She knows me more then any person in the world could ever know me.
Her name is Bella (full name Isabella, but I thought that name was stupid, so I just call her Bella or Bell Bell) (She came with the name Isabella BTW)
She has been the one I go to when my world feels like it's coming to an end. She's usually hyper and likes to jump out of my hands, but when i'm crying infront of her cage and talking to her she looks at me with this look of "mommy... please don't cry."
I take her out and she jumps up on my shoulder and starts to lick my tears away. I usually start to laugh at this point because it tickles. Then she grabs my lower lip and starts to lick my mouth. At this point i'm cracking up because it feels so funny.
Animals are the greatest joy in my oppinion. I know that my two rats are my best friends in all the world. Since they've come into my life I feel so happy and loved.
Whoever says that dogs are mans best friend has obviously never met a rat. Rats are naturely (sp?) VERY in tune with there owners emotion.
When I'm depressed and won't eat, Bella won't eather (I've watched her and she doesn't)
I've already told my boyfriend that when my baby girl dies a peice of me will die with her.
After all, she's my guardian angel.
