french bulldogs???
Hi-
I have two frenchies. A boy and a girl. The boy is a sweet, lazy, gentle soul. The girl is hyper, neurotic, sweet too though and HATES other dogs. They are hilarious! They were difficult to house train, but smart and easy to obedience train. I show both of them. I would also say get them from a responsible breeder who does health testing because both of mine have bad spines. Make sure the breeder tests for spines, hips, patellas, thyroid, heart problems and temperament! I would go to the French Bulldog Club of America's website for more good info.
Frenchies are like NO other dog, I adore them, but they are definately not for everyone.
I cannot stress the health stuff enough. The first one we had died at 12 months after several surgeries to help him to breathe. That should not have had to happen to such a good soul. Both of his parents had breathing and heart problems and he got the worst of each. It was a hard and sad lesson to learn.
Feel free to contact me anytime if I can help!

Cindy said the most important stuff. Lots of health considerations. It is the rule not the exception with frenchies, but man are the freakin cute! I love to hold them up to my ear and listen to them grunt.

WEARING SIZE 11 ! (haven't worn an 11 since I was 11)
I have Australian Cattle Dogs that I show, but my husband would like to have something a little smaller to hang-out with so our next dog will likely be a Frenchie. I know all about the importance of getting a dog from a reputable breeder so that WILL be a priority. I'm also interested in showing too and I expect that will be tons of fun.
