I take two Centrum Silver (or the generic equivalent) as well. As PartlyPollyanna said, as long as they meet the ASMBS requirements, they should be fine.

this thing won't let me upload the PDF with the guidelines, but here's the link. You'll have to scroll down to see the minimum requirements for each type of surgery

I don?t think the brand matters as long as your getting the ASMBS requirements in. I take 2 centrum silver and sublingual b12 and my labs are good (I also take proferrin for iron, and my iron is good but ferritin usually low)

Topic: Best Multivitamin?

Taking my daily vitamins and I was wondering if maybe I could be taking a better multivitamin? What have you found to be the best multivitamin that works for you? I almost always get really nauseous after taking vitamins. I am thinking of trying the patches.Have you tried them?

I did the same thing with profiles. I didn't have a lot on my first one so I was ok to start over. I too have been gaining weight during all the worlds crazy but I am getting back on track now, even walking daily.

Welcome back to OH!

Topic: RE: Has anyone else cancelled their surgery?

I cancelled in 2015 thinking WW would work only to reach my highest weight ever and went through the full process again in 2017. My only regret was canceling in May 2015. Go back and see if any of the pre authorizations are still valid and redo the ones that aren't. I promise you the sooner the better. My main reason for canceling was I did not like the surgeon. If you are happy with the surgeon, go back and get it done.

Welcome back. The secret is to eat less calories than you burn. It works every time and is the only thing that works. My Fitness Pal is free and a great tool for tracking. Weigh every day on the same scale. You need 10 calories per day for each pound you want to maintain. So to maintain 130 it takes 1300 calories a day. To lose a pound a week cut 500 a day. That would put you to 800 for 130 pound goal. A pound a week seems too slow but in a year it is 52 pounds less.

I had a profile years ago and couldn't find it so a few months back I created a new one and then the holidays came and I forgot all about it. Probably because I am steadily gaining weight and haven't wanted to face my truth once again. I hope to get back on track now. I came back to obesityhelp to get inspired again and for support.

Topic: RE: RNY and Colonoscopy prep

my first one was a morning procedure. The nurse clued me in to always choose an afternoon one since that way you don't have to drink all that awful prep in one evening - you do half the night before and the other half the next morning. So I did that the second time around. So much better!!

Topic: RE: RNY and Colonoscopy prep

I had a Sadi DS which I'm sure caused an issue for colonoscopy. Normally I have a major bowel cleanout most mornings, and the day of the colonoscopy I didn't. I think the drinks and pills are not effective and in some ways interferes with the normal functioning of the altered digestive system.

I also think the early morning scheduling of the colonoscopy didn't help. I eventually had the colonoscopy about 8 months later but had to try different cleanout drinks and scheduled an afternoon procedure for more time to clear things out.
