I did everything I could to NOT have the surgery, although I was moving ahead with the surgery preparations (Life Skills Class, psych eval and also began seeing a counselor who specializes in disordered eating). I also had diagnoses that I wish I never had to deal with in which the best approach to management was losing a significant amount of weight. When keto/intermittent fasting didn't change things all that much, I moved ahead with my surgery.
Is the commitment you refer to just a commitment to having the surgery? Or is it your wavering on your commitment to the lifestyle changes that are necessary for long term success? Finding a counselor who specializes in eating disorders/disordered eating can make a big difference if that is the case.
Good luck to you as you move forward now with your surgery. Take advantage of every preop opportunity that your program offers.

I agree with White Dove but sometimes I do need to do a protein shake due to cir****tances. This weekend, at a retreat, they served a meal that had only salad that I could eat. Everything else was carb, carb, carb. I had brought alone 2 protein shakes JIC and was glad I did.
I'm extraordinarily picky and the only protein shakes I tolerate is the Fairlife brand. They are smooth with no grittiness and the flavor is good.
Have a good day! Sue

That's right, but the interesting thing is that it doesn't cause you any addiction, unlike marijuana, alcohol, cigarettes or any of the harder drugs. They're recommended by doctors and they're legal, and I think it's cool. I myself use cbd edibles canada, when I feel bad, especially after working three weeks without a holiday, feel very tense and realize that you need to rest, and CBD helps me.
All protein powder does is help you to get in calories quickly. Unless you need to gain weight eat your protein as food.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I've been gone from here for a long time. I have been looking for a good tasting whey protein powder. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Need to get back to some basics, kinda feeling like I'm dragging.
Thanks,

None are really issues related to dating BUT if you start spending alot of time together or sleeping together it comes up. Great they you have been lucky enough to find someone who loves you just as you are, but not everyone has been so lucky yet. I wouldn't post the info on a dating site, but still they are issues that you eventually need to discuss with someone. And BTW I am 14 years out and yes, it would still come up.
Cannabinoids or active substances in medical marijuana, unlike plants, are included in several medicines approved in a number of countries for legal use and treatment of certain diseases. Despite the content of more than a hundred different cannabinoids in cannabis, these two substances are leading in the fight against the symptoms of certain diseases. As for the inclusion in the insurance, then you need to ask about it with the company with which you signed it. And for home use, I order CBC wholesale.
Oh my god, not the Cheese Wiz!!!, anything but that. :)
Full disclosure I'm eating a Milky Way while I'm writing this. You're definitely going to screw up every day, but as long as you generally follow the program you'll lose a good deal of weight. For whatever discretions I have in my daily eating, there are many permanent better life choices I make that combined with the surgery are enough.
After WLS I lost maybe 12lbs the first 6 weeks and saw others on this board showing 20 to 30lbs a month. I felt good regardless and after a year or so, I was down about 150lbs. I keep it off with exercise and mostly eating healthy but lots of fruits, carbs and some sweets every day.
