Wonderful to hear you are doing well after your surgery. I went to OA meetings for a short time but I just didn't find it all that I thought it was going to be. But maybe I should try again. A Zoom meeting might work better?
Hi Erin...Congratulations on being post op! I have never been to OA so I cannot offer any insight but wish you well.
Kill the bad habits and you will be safe like your ambitious I will keep in mind to do the same no more junk **** we need to look better ð?'ð?'ð?'
Exactly eating habits, is the most important in weight loose surgery nothing is gone make you lose weight if you can keep the mouth close I am doing that my self I know is not easy I been told that from the beginning is a hard game to play be ready to think exercise bike and don't eat and you gone manage at least the surgery is gone help you to don't be hungry during the day that much just drink your meal replacement shakes and you gone survive after few weeks you gone love the results of hard working you gone feet better in your cloths have more energy and be happy don't give up
Even with sleeve mastectomy I have the same problem during the day I can't eat and drink that much but at night I don't have any problem I tale omeprazole during the day and wait to night tondrink my meal replacement during the day I take my vitamins and I survived for one month 1/2 pretty good ?
I had gastric sleeve mastectomy one month 1/2 I was before 219 pounds i lost until 195 pounds when they decide to get surgery on 3/31/22 after that it passed 1 month 1/2 and I am at 175.6 pounds pretty good I think keep thinking positive just remember you a new person know different then you were before no more cheeding in food no more sweets you need to become better for your self not for others love your self and say no to carbs and sugar and soda is not hard you can do it
Just think you will look beautiful young and healthy for your self not for others love yourself from me best wished to stay safe
Hi be careful tondont have problem with blood cloth some time cbd go in bloodstream and do strange changes also cbd can make you super hungry you may gain waleight without knowing be careful exercise is better before sleep walking stationary biking make you tired and you gone sleep better
I did use CBD I gain weight pretty bad I end up with blood cloths saved my life at the last minute so I advice you to be careful please
I end up with 2 surgery to strengthen my neck and spine and realize CBD wasn't a good idea for relaxing my body it did more bad than god I tell you all this just to keep in mind and reconsider what this good for you
Hi is nice to feel exited but keep in mind having the surgery is a total challenge you need to understand first what to do after that because you will struggle with not knowing what to eat and what to don't to be successful
I am telling you because I had done the sleeve gastrectomy and it was a nice of cake 7 little insicions and very easy recovery be able to walk right away and get my regular like in place but eating and drinking was and is a big challenge
Let me explain you a bit about it I can't eat almost anything during the day foursome reason I grow up but I am not feeling with sick the food just comes back to my through as I can take my intake of protein during the night is strange but I am drink with no problem during the night also I can eat meat a very small amount eating pouring and Jello and eggs is not possible I have to trow up after 5 min after I eat them also what they are talking to zip During the day some people can't do that like me so I wait for late at night to drink my protein
Also I found a keto ice cream with very dark chocolate no sugar all 1 carbs when I feel like having something sweet I eat 1/2 of that good enough I recommend you to buy geriatric fission shakes meal replacement pretty good stuff easy to drink may like it they taste sweet but they don't have sugar and carbs you can loose weight pretty easy
I was219 pounds before starting the weight lose programme so when they did the surgery I was 196 pounds know after1 month 1/2 I am 175.6 pounds believe me is not easy but I possible keep in mind don't try to cheed you can put in jeopardy your life this is not easy but is not impossible you can do it keep in mind you need to get better try to do some walking and stationary biking it will help to burn the calories you try to eat during the day if you able to eat mean time stay positive life is precious you can do it go for it and be safe

I know it's an old thread but the words of all people here helped me to make this decision too. Thank you all guys!
Thank you so much! I did not know that getting iron infusions was typical for lap banders. I'm glad I came back to this site. You have been so helpful because now I need to reevaluate if I want to do the RNY. I definitely want to lose more than 20 lbs. You are so right that we have learned how to eat around the smaller stomach. My problem is not eating my calories but drinking them! Sugary drinks (i.e. starbucks and dunkin donuts) and sweet tea are my downfall. If I stopped drinking that everyday I'd probably lose 50 lbs! I have a meeting with my doctor on June 1 so I am excited to see what exactly my options are.
