Topic: Surgery in less than a week!

I am so nervous and excited and all kinds of things I cannot explain right now. Surgery next week. I am trying to remember how to breathe. Prayers welcome!

My insurance covered bot procedures but fought on the initial VSG very hard. They gave almost instant approval for the revision.

With the GERD it helped so much. The recovery for me from the VSG was harder than the revision. I got really bad nausea and threw up a lot right after the VSG. The revision was a breeze compared to it. It helped immensely with the GERD. I don't regret it at all just for the GERD.

I also had/have a pretty severe back issue(two surgeries for that so far) coupled with some mental health problems that swirled into a perfect crappy storm for me. So it's been a journey no doubt. Initially I lost a little with the revision. It won't come off as fast as it did with your initial surgery. I never have reached my goal weight and it's all my doing for not using the tool. I'm also hoping to become more active once my back stuff gets better. The key is to never give up!

as for dumping...I have never had an issue with it like most people do. I some times get a little sick feeling if I eat to many carbs or greasy food. I've had a few moments of RH where my blood sugar bombed after eating something I shouldn't of.

wishing you all the luck when you see the new surgeon!

I've never been without face cream. Face-lifting can be performed from the age of 18, thus working to get ahead of visible age-related changes. If you start attending courses of sculpturing massage from the age of 25-30, when the aging process begins in the skin, then such problems as loss of facial oval, the formation of blisters and wrinkles will not soon make themselves felt. Sculpturizing massage differs dramatically depending on the task that needs to be solved, as well as the characteristics of the skin. Problem skin with acne requires gentle treatment and combating excessive sebum formation, while ageing skin requires lifting techniques. There are Aprisa Skincare Products whose products can be used at home, which replaces a visit to a dermatologist and a cosmetologist.

Please keep me posted if you think about it!! Good luck!! I am anxious to get this appointment behind me and have an idea if he can just change my medication or what he is going to want to do. I also have a hiatal hernia. Some want to and will repair, some don't want to. Have a great Memorial Day evening!

Hey,

It takes time. Especially for women. It's also possible that your surgeon didn't take enough of your stomach. Have you changed your lifestyle at all. It's a tool. It's not the end all.

I am going forward with the revision once approved from insurance. I am not doing it for weight loss reasons. I am extremely happy with my weight and how I look. I am doing it because the reflux is so damn bad! I will let you know how it works once I know!

I noticed you had a vsg to RNY revision surgery a couple of years ago. I may be faced with that decision due to GERD. My first appointment with a new bariatric surgeon is in three weeks. I was cash pay with the vsg., if the doctor does recommend revision, any idea about insurance? Our ins doesn't cover WLS, but if this is a medical reason surely they will. If you did it for the same reason, did it help? Did you lose additional weight. What were the main differences between sleeve surgery and RNY? Dumping? I think a deterrent might be a good thing for sweets and fatty foods. Any advice and details would be greatly appreciated. Is this going to be a process to get insurance on board? Any regrets?

Thank you in advance!

When my doctor retired, I ended up seeing a PA at another bariatric clinic in Dallas just for this reason!
