There are no weight loss surgery dating sites. You might meet someone on this site, if you are lucky. We have at least one happy couple who met on here.

Unless you're joining a cult where you won't have access to any of the things you mention, you will be able to eat post-op. Couple of things to remember - they operate on your stomach not your head. Get your mind in the right place by the time surgery comes around. It's a learning experience - you didn't become obese overnight and you won't lose the weight overnight. It's a process. Post-op life is about balance - including food. Granted I had a different type of WLS, but it's all the same. Nothing is off-limits once you've lost your weight, but everything in moderation. You may not be able to eat an entire cheeseburger, but you can definitely have a piece of a cheeseburger. You shouldn't eat an entire chocolate bar, but you'll be able to have a small piece of chocolate or a couple of spoons of ice cream or a cookie - just not in the amounts pre-op.

It's all about moderation - after you've lost your weight.

I am 10 years plus post surgery and have kept the weight off. As you all know, there are residual effects to our bodies that we have to control and maintain. I have been dating for some time and when the conversation leads to eating habits/routines and/or intimacy, I still struggle explaining and being accepted as is. Is there a LEGIT dating site that caters to WLS singles? I would like to meet a man that has gone through the same things I have or is at least accepting of it.

Thanks,

Devon

very, very common to put on 10-20 lbs after hitting your lowest weight. It usually happens during year 2 or 3.

Alcohol does effect you much more extremely after surgery and you'll find lots of opinions that (and be sure to do your research on transfer addiction before you have any alcohol); nothing wrong with avoiding sugar, and you will want to very much if you dump or have reactive hypoglycemia. My bloodstream is at least 50% coffee though.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll have to read more about the regain phase.
