To give everyone an idea of where I'm at: start weight 270 current weight 237 and my goal weight is 190. I did great the first 3 months, then stalled out for 3 months, and have since been working to keep losing.

I am surfing the net. I haven't received anything. I know that I am starting over. All I know is that I am on liquids for 2 to 3 weeks.

The last time I tried to drink protein drinks I would get very sick. So most of my protein ended up being food. Couldn't handle protein drinks.

I do need support. As it gets closer and more real than anything I am getting very nervous and worried that I will have the same issues I did the first time. But I cant live with the ulcer any longer. One bite of food and it will upset everything. Also, not to mention throwing up.

Maybe I will lose some weight too. I have gained weight through the years and it would be nice to lose 25 to 30lbs.

I know you are less than a year out of surgery (I think, from what I read above), so some may just be a simple reminder. I read these and even for me, being a long term post op, still holds true. A lot of what is going on, for me, is all head work. Hope these help.

My surgeon will refuse any pills, since we are supposed to use our tool. I get that everyone is different, so I understand where he's coming from. I hope you find what you're looking for

I am so sorry to hear that it's been a struggle!

Has your surgeon provided you with a list of things to add/remove from your current nutrition plan? Hoping for healing and comfort in the upcoming months. You have all of us to support you and send you our well wishes!

HUGS!!!

I take Topamax but not for weight loss, I take it as migraine prevention. I had NO idea it was for weight loss, I thought the migraine prevention was a side effect of the original intent of it being an antiepileptic medication. Wow.

I am sorry you are going through a hard time and wish you well on your upcoming surgery. Any surgery is scary to me so I understand.
