You need to make sure that you are getting adequate protein. Generally 60 grams daily is recommended. Also if using protein bars or powders as a replacement you need to make sure they are complete proteins.

I had surgery in 2007 and have very, very rarely felt hunger. I can only remember one time, when I went about 12 hours and did not eat or drink anything until late in the evening. I count between 200 and 300 calories as a meal. A Quest protein bar would be a small meal for me. I normally eat what I call a meal about every 4 to 5 hours. I almost never have a full meal. Christmas or Thanksgiving I might and then feel miserable after that.

So I haven't ate a whole meal today, but instead had 2 protein bars 1 for lunch and 1 for supper. Shame on me I know. But I didn't have an appetite today. Is that ok, that I at least had protein bars? What kind you may ask? Both Quest. I'm not sick or anything, just haven't felt hungry and I felt full from eating the protein bars. I drank my water between meals.

I had never heard of a therapy light until after I posted. If they are not too expensive, I will give it a try. I didn't know that about the animals either. Thank you.

I have never heard of a therapy light so I haven't tried that. Thanks for that tip. I am trying to focus on being more positive and on staying connected to my friends and family.
