Unfortunately my Housing Court adventures haven?t ended - I chose not to go in front of the Judge in the late afternoon because he treated me so badly as his last customer a week ago .

I have literally a telephone book thing of ( mostly photos ) demonstrating slum like conditions ( and this is a Columbia University building ? go figure! ) to give him because I?m asking for repairs and a significant retroactive rent abatement going back to when we first moved in ( about a year ago).

I?m going to split it in two not to again try his patience - I can upload the second set electronically if he grants the Show of Cause , vacates the delay judgment and gives us a new court date . I?m just praying I?ve proven enough and that he?s more amenable today !

I also have my first consult with a nose specialist plastic surgeon this morning to fix the fracture caused by Sep 4 the elevator fall. The overnight emergency room stay being watched for a concussion and repeatedly x rayed and MRI ed caused me to miss my Court date actually. I need to find a personal injury law firm to get the building? s insurance to pay for this repair today too .

Got home after 8 after working since the morning- as usual ate a few bites, nodded off and started reading Barbara Kingsolver?s latest ( excellent! Un- put down able ) book Demon Copperhead which I read off and on most of the nite . Grrr?. I?m just NOT good at saying no to myself !

Midnight snack - cookies tea and salads ? Breakfast bagel w seafood salad and Yemeni coffee ( my latest food discovery) - lunch probably bites of Ruben from a Courthouse deli , d - tbd - possibly homemade Chinese stir fry of lobster tails w ginger scallion sesame sauce . More arugula salad with low-fat Japanese miso or sesame dressing .

Yesterday my Apple Watch measured almost six miles walked despite just normal activity taking the subway, shopping etc . One of the advantages of living in the City . I expect today will be similar.

Since my fall ( after which I dutifully reported to my Doctor unlike in past years receiving prescriptions for chiropractic, physical therapy and plastic surgery ) I found that chiropractic adjustments REALLY work to remedy forward head and the dowagers hump many of us have post op and post weight loss including me .
Three neck and mid back adjustments ( along with pleasant heated machine and manual stretching and massage have worked WONDERS in a week and a half!

I can?t BELIEVE how much longer and straighter my neck looks and how flat my back is ( as opposed to curving outwards ) .

Targeted exercise on my own ( and painful posture improvers ) did very little so I?m just DELIGHTED with the Chiropractic doctors? dramatic ( and 100% pain free ) results.

Incidentally the Medicare part A and B plan that covers Chiropractic is the Health Plus Life Improvement Plan. Unfortunately few insurance carriers cover this treatment which is one of the reasons I didn?t get it all these years . Dumb !
