yes - there are a minority of patients who don't absorb iron well from oral supplements and end up having to go the infusion route (which does work...). The oral kind does work for most of us, though (me included, fortunately...)

Hi there. I pray all is well with you. I am 9 months post sleeve to gastric bypass for severe GERD. I wish I had not waited so long and suffered. This surgery is a whole different ball game. You must measure and pay attention to what you are eating. I have restriction yes, but it is delayed and nothing like I had with my sleeve.

In a few minutes I can go from ok to completely full. Careful with carbs, sweets and fat. Dumping syndrome is real. Drink your water, get your protein and take your vitamins!

I gained the COVID 19 pounds from boredom, depression and anxiety. I have now lost 30 pounds and look better than when I had my sleeve.

Enjoy enjoy enjoy and yes the GERD is gone. I get a bit of burn when I eat spicy foods but I'll take it over being maxed out on meds and a stomach so irritated it hurt to eat.
