Post Op Questions

Hi everyone! Had my SADI/loop switch operation completed yesterday. It was performed laparoscopically. I have five incisions. Of the lower four, they all have slightly puffed out centers. Has anyone else had this?

I also had a sneezing fit today and felt some kind of shift in the highest incision. They've also all started bruising today, though it's not extensive. Wondering if that's part of the transition to activities outside of hall walking and getting home. I feel a little warm but think I know why.

The nurse checked everything last night and said they looked good. But they have evolved a bit. Any feedback welcome! Cheers.

Sounds like normal healing to me. If you?re not showing signs of infection, not having increased pain, and the nurse says everything looks fine, you probably don?t have anything to worry about. Post Op, I was hyper aware of everything?is this twinge something, is that one something else?.and it?s very good to pay attention and follow up with your medical team if anything is causing you a concern, that is what they are there for.

I'm with you on being hyper aware of everything. Since I have no benchmark for surgery, I'm analyzing everything. I did call the nurse triage today and sent them pictures. She said everything looks like it's healing normally. I also had a follow up call with Saturday's discharge nurse. She said it sounds like everything is going great for three days out. Will definitely be leveraging the nurse and dietician lines for support as needed.
