I drank 80oz of water today and I plan to drink 32oz more. Is there such a thing as drinking to much water?

I'm supposed to have 3 dairy snacks, but im full and don't think I can eat a dairy snack before 8pm. Does this mean I'm susceptible to having hunger pains or eating more tomorrow?

As long as you don't drink too much water in a very short amount of time, you should be fine. I typically drink 105-128 oz per day. Healthy kidneys can process about 32 oz per hour, so you shouldn't drink more than that. Too much in a short time can result in water intoxication, which is dangerous.

Spreading your water intake out throughout the day and taking in 128 oz or so should be just fine. I know some people who drink even more, so your total of 102 oz should be absolutely fine.

I agree with Cathy re: the fluid, I try for 132 a day (100 oz water, 3 cups of coffee) at my GP recommendation, to help with low BP.

Re: snacks -- you're far enough out that you'll want to make sure you're hitting your protein goals, calorie goals -- macros in general, depending on what your plan is. (Mine doesn't have calorie goals but does have protein and fluid targets). If you're doing that, I wouldn't worry about eating if I wasn't hungry.

It's easier said then done, I know, but if you feel like it makes you hungry today that you didn't have a snack yesterday, I would pay attention to whether it's real hunger or head hunger (I did get everything I was "supposed" to have so now I have to make up for it, is an example of head hunger)....and then there's always the "hunger is not an emergency" mindset to remind yourself that you're in control.

Hope your day is good and successful!

Thanks for the responses. I was a little worried that the Water intake was to much, but relieved to hear it's ok. As for my dairy snack, I'm only going to eat if I feel hungry not because I'm supposed to have a dairy snack. I think drinking a lot of fluids and having a healthy supper eliminated the night time snack.

while it is technically possible to drink too much wAter and there is a term for that, but I can't think of it right now, it would be way mor wAter than 130+ oz, it would be in the GALLONS range. You are good to go.
