Thank you so much for the response! I wish you well. I hope my insurance is as easy as yours was for the revision. I was self pay with the VSG.

My appointment was last week, as expected, he recommended RNY. I don't doubt him at all, but I do have an appointment with a doctor in Dallas later in July. (Who did you use and would you recommend him/her?) I have two friends from support groups in Dallas (we lived there 6 years), both are bariatric nurses. One had VSG, the other had RNY. Both agree with what the doctor told me. I really count them as a second and third opinion, but will still see the physician in Dallas.

I see you're in TX, but didn't see where you live. We are in East TX but going to Dallas or even Houston wouldn't be a big deal.

I am quite a bit away! Amarillo to be exact and I used a local doctor.

I don't regret the revision at all. It's just getting acclimated to the new normal. It'll take trial and error but it sounds like you have a good sounding board in your friends!
