I bought a French fry cutter ! I know the sliced potatoes are supposed to be brined first in salt and sugar ( at least that's the way most fast food places make 'em... )
I have an air fryer but have only used it once so no recipe here. But I have never heard of sugar on french fries! I had no idea that's how a lot of fast food places make theirs.
I don't have an air fryer. I use either sweet potatoes or a turnip. Peel and cut into slices or strips. Spray with butter flavored PAM all over. Then roast in a hot oven until they are crisp on the outside and soft inside. Much better than fried.
