Oh conference is canceled?
I received notification from Omni Hotel that OH canceled my room reservation and I do not see where they announced canceling the event. I even went to Everbrite where I purchased my Ticket and they have not said the event was canceled. Now I can not get a refund on my flight and the $70 I paid OH for the ticket is Non refundable. is anyone else in this same predicament. I?m not happy

Look under the events tab on top. If you click it, it shows that due to Covid the conference is cancelled & the price of the ticket is going to the following years conference.

they put a post on this thread a couple of days ago that the conference was canceled and that your ticket will be good for next year's conference, also in Texas.
as for airline ticket, check with the airlines. Some of them are being much more flexible with their policies now due to the pandemic. They may let you change the ticket with no penalty.
It is interesting that when you click on the Events tab here on OH, it still states the event is in 2020. I did see they changed their facebook event to 2021.

We're sorry we had to cancel, but here is the post we put on Facebook and our Message board. The airlines should be considerate of your change since it isn't under your control. We have heard they are working with people.
Due to continued COVID-19 safety precautions and restrictions on large gatherings, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 ObesityHelp National Conference in Houston, Texas. The health and safety of our community is our number one priority.
All attendees who previously purchased tickets will have their tickets automatically transferred to the National Conference 2021 in Houston, TX at the Omni on October 1st & 2nd. Your 2020 event tickets will be automatically rolled over to 2021, however hotel rooms will need to be rebooked. We apologize for the inconvenience and are saddened that we will not have the opportunity to see everyone this year. Any hotel reservations were cancelled by the hotel and will need to be rebooked for next year once we receive that room block information.
We are in the process of updating our website, ticketing system, and social media with the new details.

I am sorry I do not have any social media besides coming here. In the future can they send an email since I had purchased a ticket they should have been able to contact me directly. They have my email address and are aware I bought a ticket.

Teenie, we're sorry for the confusion; we have been working to get all areas updated, and you should have now received an email from the ticketing system. Please DM me if you did not, it is good information for us to have feedback on.
We look forward to meeting you in 2021. Did you say you're from PA? I used to live in Waynesburg, south of Pittsburgh; haven't been back for many years.

I got the email. Thank you. Yes I am from PA and I live in Canonsburg. Very Familiar with Waynesburg two of the biggest wrestling schools in SWAP. I graduated in 83 did you graduate from there?

Finally, someone who knows it's Waynesburg and not Waynesboro! I didn't graduate in PA; my dad passed when I was nearly 16 and since we had no relatives east of the Mississippi, my mom packed us up and moved to CA where her parents and sister were, so that's the story. My dad drove from Waynesburg to his office on Grant Street in Pittsburgh at Hillman, so he knew many of the other towns very well. And yes, wrestling was huge for our school. I hope we can chat next conference!

My question is what happens if someone planned to go this year, but can not go next year? Do they get any type of a refund? Personally I think if an event was cancelled then there should be a 100% refund.
