Feeling even more anxious than usual!

I use the Calm app as well. I get a reminder at 6PM every day asking how I'm feeling. Sometimes I just ignore it but sometimes I'll use it. It's a tool (just like my DS I guess). Alot of my anxiety comes from my job, which is very high stress and very tight deadlines (thank goodness for the job part of it). I'm fortunate that I can do that job full time from home. The down side is I can't get away from it. I've started putting stress breaks on my calendar. I literally have to schedule time that I can walk away, take a walk outside - just tune out for a short period of time (even 20 minutes helps). I filter and limit how much news I watch or read, but I also use music to help relax me. I live by myself so I make sure I reach out to friends and family - both online and on the phone or Facetime/zoom.

Control what you can control and make adjustments that work for you. One step at a time.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas Janet. I can't wait to try the Calm App! I too work from home so I understand the part about not being able to get away from your work. Scheduling time to walk away and to actually take a break is something I need to start doing. I just recently used my Facetime feature for the first time and loved it! I will be doing more of that for sure!

I feel that all of us are certainly feeling uneasy and even anxious during this weird point in all of our lives. I have tried meditating, music, exercise (there are some great ones on YouTube and on some Facebook where some orgs are offering free classes)

if you enjoy makeup, there are some youtube videos that I watch to help me relax. Additionally, jus****ching a movie from my childhood (even if it's a cartoon) helps me calm down and brings me back to the carefree days. Or, starting a new TV show/Netflix, cooking/baking for others is a great stress reliever for me too.

I try and remind myself that "This too shall pass" knowing that things will (not necessarily be back to normal) but it's my job to make it better with what I have control over.

Sending Hugs.

Thanks for the hugs Dee and for the great ideas and advice. I am glad that I reached out today. The encouragement and support helps a lot. You gave me an idea-watch some recipe videos! I do like to cook but I am not very creative on my own. And Netflix...I think I might finally join. You are right...this too shall pass!

I am feeling the same way and xanax was needed. My doctor filled my script Friday . I feel as if a lot of us at home are anxious. You hang in there and keep us posted.
