Yes - or one of the two or three best, anyway. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! And I feel great - should have done this years ago!

No, the best thing I ever did for myself was getting my PhD. But the weight loss surgery was probably second best.

Absolutely not. It was a health intervention. At the time it was a quick and easy fix. At time went on the habits I practice to maintain my loss are the habits that might have made surgery unnecessary if I had done them instead of surgery.

The best things I have done for myself were getting my degrees and reading two books that changed my life forever.

Definitely not. Deciding to adopt my children was the best thing I ever did for myself. I cannot imagine my life without my kids.

Weight loss surgery was a good health decision, but please don't think your life will be perfect if you lose the weight.

It was definitely one of the decisions at the top of my list! I've lost close to 200 pounds and I can definitely move better and am healthier all round. No longer considered super morbidly obese and am in the normal range for weight, blood work and mentality (not fighting internal demons).
