Come on now... do you really order from the "Kids Menu"?

If it's nuggets and pizza, no. But some places do actually have good kid menus. Off the top of my head, I order off the kids menu at Chipotle, Panera, steak places like Outback, and Applebees/Chili's/etc.

If the restaurant is ok with you doing it, then ok, but people who carry a card from their surgeon and expect this concession are an embarrassment.
We're not 12, and restaurants have zero obligation to allow it. The kids menu is a loss leader for their parents to order full price items from the menu.
Sharing food is also rude UNLESS you tip your server 40%. Otherwise, you are stealing money from their family by occupying two seats.
I've managed 15.5 years ordering a full size, grown up entree of my own and either taking home or leaving leftovers.

I usually order a full-size meal... I just think it's funny that some use it as a justification (It's a smaller portion, so It's ok). I have ordered off of it occasionally (Buffalo Wild Wings since they have Naked Tenders) but I always ask before I order if it will be a problem. My hubs and 2 kiddos are with and typically they're cool with it. I would never try and take advantage of anything.
