A pound a week is a good pace. I too am now motivated by being able to get back into a few key clothing items. Some have been added back, but some are going to have to wait...

It's not that I"m a clothes horse or obsessed with fashion at all....but I remember how good it felt to buy those smaller sizes and I know how awful it would feel to go the other way. (That said, I'm thankful for "stretchy pants" these days). On my journey down in sizes I had 2 items I bought again and again in smaller sizes: Lee jeans from Walmart and a certain black dress pant from JC Penney. I ended up in size 6-8 in both. The dress pants won't pull up right now. I never reached my hypothetical goal weight but was exercising a lot, and even had a trainer for a while. So I was looking good even with a scale weight higher than I'd imagined for myself and was super happy with that.

Dawn, it looks like - in this great big world of the internet - we are almost neighbors! I'm in the northern suburbs of Detroit, about 40 min from the Ambassador Bridge. (And also about 40 min. from the bridge to Sarnia now I think about it!)

Have you been around OH for several years? Your screen name rings a bell from when I was here years back (surgery 2009, active here till maybe 2011 on various boards.)

Yes I've been on here since around 2005. I had surgery in 2006. I was very active here, did some posts on the Michigan board, a few on the Rny and main board, very active in the ontario group as well.

also very active on the Facebook boards and was on the Barix board (where I had my surgery in Ypsilanti).

:-) nice to meet you
