Is anyone else doing Weigh****chers?
I know many people are against WW, but I love it. I am doing the new plan and it is working for me. I needed some sort of plan and group meetings to help me lose my regain. Surgery is not "magic" and many of us regain. We still have our tool but some of us need more help to get back on track.
I am 11 years out and regained 30 pounds dealing with the stressors of life. So far I have lose 9.6 pound on WW. 20.4 to go. I know I will get there!!
I hope others who have regained are doing something to help them get back on track. There is no shame in regaining. We must find something to help us get back on track. We all have too much living left to do and must work on our health so we can enjoy life. Never give up!!
I know White Dove is doing WW. Anyone else?

I'm not doing WW but absolutely believe in their program. Only reason I'm not is b/c I've vowed to never pay anyone again in life to lose weight.
I'm working my own thing, to lose 12#'s, working to stay under 30g of sugar and 80g carbs. I've lost 6#'s so far. That loss brought me back to where I've been maintaining for the last year, so it's tempting to just stop. But I've given myself 80 days to meet my target, then I'll reevaluate and see if I want to go further.
funny I never would have considered myself 'off track' but the discipline it's taking for these sugar/carb grams is proving to me I was definitely off track.

I am glad you are doing what works for you. Keep up the good work!!
I am a WW lifetime member so I will not have to pay after my 3 month pass expires (I set my WW goal at the top end of the range for my height so I almost there). I needed the extra push and money is what gets me motivated.

That's great. Congratulation. You can lose the rest.
For me when I regained, giving up alcohol (completely, not even one drin****il, after I reached and passed my goal) plus limiting carbs, spec specially sugars was a key to lose regain and maintain my weight. And making sure I take vitamins and minerals enough to give me optimal for me blood levels. And...making sure I get enough sleep
I believe we each need to find our own way getting back on track, that would allow us to lose a regain and maintain weight.

You are definitely a role model for figuring out what you need to do and getting it done. I have always admired you for that.
I know a lot of post-ops in real life who have gained most of their weight back and seem to have just given up. I feel badly for them. I will admit I want to try to shake some sense into some of them, but I know I can't. They have to want to do it.

Laura, first of all, congrats on how you're approaching this and on your results. You should definitely do what works well for you. Go, girl! :)
I'm quite impressed by the new "WW" programs. I'm currently doing the Green Plan--not just to lose 5-8 pounds of regain I've battled with this past year for the first time (I was sleeved in 2014), but to learn how to MODERATE (not just avoid) eating foods that tend to trigger my overeating, i.e., the usual suspects--breads, desserts, other carby/sugary things, etc.
Last year I realized that trying to NEVER eat those foods just gave them too much power over me, which I was unable to resist in a trigger-food-rich environment, i.e., outside my home.
So far, it seems to be working out well. I'm now experimenting with eating just one cookie, half a piece of cake, a couple slices of bread. And guess what ... I can do it.
I'm still not perfect. I still never expect I will ever be perfect. But I'm currently enjoying learning to navigate this way of eating. And nobody has died yet. :)
Happy New Year! And best wishes to you, Laura.

Laura, I am finding that the WW Blue plan is helping me nip regain in the bud. I, too, set my goal at the upper end of my range, so earning lifetime membership will give me the incentive/motivation/accountability I need to successfully maintain. Like Ann, I want to make peace with trigger foods and neutralize their lure/power over me five years after VSG. The plan also helps me manage the non-diabetic reactive hypoglycemia I am experiencing.

(Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!
I too am doing WW (blue). I've always liked WW, but especially this new plan. I had about 15 pounds of regain due to not taking care of myself through DH's illness. I found the feeling of control and accountability helped me while things with DH weren't going well and have lost 5 of the 15 so far. I was also a lifetime member and will stop paying after another couple of pounds (I chose to use a mid-point in normal range as goal instead of the top).
WLS surgery helps in controlling portions, but adding WW for accountability is key for me.
