small hiatal hernia and stable mild wall thickening in the distal esophagus
I just had a CT scan because they are monitoring my stomach due to a GIST tumor discovered in my resected stomach at surgery. I don't see my surgeon for a week, but I was able to access the report through the portal. Does anybody know what this might mean? I have been searching online for over an hour and I feel really confused and concerned. I am hoping to just have some idea what might be going on before my appointment.

I posted several days ago about foamies before eating and I am also wondering if this might be related.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you so much! I probably should have mentioned that I was finding plenty on hiatal hernia, it was the esophagus thickening and how that related to the hernia that was confusing. The answer on the just answer site was perfect! Thanks again!
