got THE CALL for Consultation! What now??

I am from New Brunswick, Canada. What is others experience on what happens after you get your consultation appointment? In NB, typically how long will it take before I get surgery?

I am not sure how long it takes in New Brunswick from your initial consultation to your surgery date. Here in the US, it depends on many factors including the individuals personal health status, the insurance approval process, proof of attempted weight loss, your psychological evaluation, etc. From my initial consultation, it took me 4 months before I had my surgery. After the consultation, I was required to attend nutritional counseling sessions, undergo a psychological evaluation, and to attend support groups on a regular basis prior to surgery. Others have posted that it has taken them a year or more to get a surgery date! Wishing you the best of luck!
