Laura, it's been Years since I saw you last! We're coming your way!

Ooh, I'll consider going too if y'all are going. I never been to Texas! I'd love to do one of those line dances with Texas boots & a big ole hat!

Speaking of which, Gina, do you remember a gal that was also at the same Houston meeting that both of us went to? Young, Hispanic gal who posted all the time back then .. By the time she made the meeting she had lost all of her weight. In fact, when she walked up to me at the meeting I had no idea who she was (I had not seen any pics of her after her weight loss) and when I suddenly realized who she was, I, at a total loss for words and in shock, just exclaimed 'Meximelt!" It was like all the pounds had just melted off of her, and she looked amazing. So, that sort of stuck as my nickname for her after that day. She emailed me out of the blue about a year or so ago (I guess she kept it all this time) and let me know she was still doing well, had recently gotten married and that they were now expecting her (first?) child. I was so happy for her. Since then I haven't been able to find her original email. I would like to make sure she knows about Houston 2020 so that if she and her hubby want to attend they can. I don't think she monitors OH anymore and if you can some up with her real first name for me I might be able to find her email to me.

Gina! It will be great to see you again. I hope you'll do the Fashion Show!
Kim Gyurina, Event Manager
KIM - I'm so glad you are still with OH!
Nah, I'm not the "Fashion Show type"...but if you need some old dogs for a Grad Panel, or something like that, I'd be honored. Can you even believe I am almost 18 years out?!? I was 8 years out, the last time I served on your panel (Houston, 2010), and THOUGHT I "knew a lot"...
As my signature line says...I learn something EVERY DAY!!

We Can Do Hard Things
Gina,
You're all in for a treat to see how big our conferences have gotten and how fun they are now. Our entire team is involved, and that created a lot of very positive change, enabling us to offer much more!
I can't believe you are almost 18 years out..I guess now you can say you DO know a lot at this point, but I agree, we can always learn something every day, and we should! Houston 2010 was at the Post Oak Hilton as I recall?? This time we'll be at the Omni Houston Westside. The group room block rate is very good, and will lead to great pajama parties!
We will absolutely LOVE seeing everyone again, and making tons of new friends. We're very excited to be coming back!

Oh my go****he panel pic is a hoot..and we actually had Sean on our panel this past October in Anaheim! He and Deb Flores flew out for it and joined our great group of volunteers. We had a great time with them. I hadn't seen them in a long time. I'm much older this time...I hope I recognize people!
Do you remember how big the clothing exchanges were in Texas? I remember one Dallas exchange that was absolutely huge! We still do them, so everybody start saving clothing to donate, please!
I'm getting excited, and it's only January, but somehow those months between fly by!
